‘Aashvi Smiles is named after my daughter, Aashvi.
Aashvi is another name for Lord Sarasvati, the Indian goddess of wisdom and music. Books and music have brought immense fulfillment into my simple life. If it were not for books, I would not have fallen in love with healthcare. And if it were not for music, I would not have found faith after setbacks.
I was ready to give up on my dream of practicing dentistry in the States after interviewing for two years in a row with no progress. With some faith, I applied a third time and fatefully, was accepted into three top dental schools! The name Aashvi also signifies victory. Early in my career, i was able to learn that success does come to those who persevere.
Finally, as any parent would affirm, children are their greatest source of inspiration. Seeing the world from their eyes, fills us with hope and joy. Any new venture requires a little tinge of magic, and the name Aashvi alone brings that.
